#28: Kramer Auditioned For Al
That’s right—before he became the eccentric, door-slamming neighbor on Seinfeld, Michael Richards auditioned for the role of Al Bundy. While he didn’t land the part, fate had something even bigger in store. Just two years later, Richards was cast as Cosmo Kramer, a role that would make him a TV legend.

Though it’s hard to imagine anyone but Ed O’Neill as Al Bundy, Richards certainly found his perfect fit. In the end, both actors ended up exactly where they were meant to be—anchoring two of the most iconic sitcoms of all time.
