It
In the chilling world of horror master Stephen King, his 1986 novel It birthed the nightmare-inducing clown Pennywise. This monstrous jester, with his terrifying ability to shape-shift, haunted the innocent children of Derry, Maine. Tim Curry first donned the eerie clown makeup for the 1990 TV miniseries. Later, the role was reimagined by Bill Skarsgard for a two-part movie series, adding a new layer of terror to Pennywise’s legacy.

Both Curry and Skarsgard are maestros of the macabre, yet their character designs diverge subtly. Curry’s portrayal is a kaleidoscope of evil, a vibrant façade camouflaging the sinister within. In contrast, Skarsgard’s character is a muted menace, his outward creepiness impossible to ignore. One can’t help but ponder, what volume of makeup did it take to transform these actors into such nefarious nightmares?
